Boulder gets one more stretch of summer. The National Weather Service office in Denver/Boulder forecasts a sunny Friday near 85°F, a mostly sunny Saturday near 82 and a partly sunny Sunday near 77, with precipitation chances of 6 percent or lower all three days. Nearly all of it is outdoors, and three Indigenous Peoples Day gatherings anchor the weekend.

Friday evening belongs to Saturn. Astronomy: The Ringed Giant at Its Best runs 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain, 14950 N. 55th St. in Longmont — a talk at the picnic shelter on the planet at opposition, then Longmont Astronomical Society telescopes in the parking area. Bring a chair and a red flashlight; registration required.

The Boulder Farmers Market is at 13th and Canyon, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is the second Saturday of the month, when local artisans join the farm stalls. The Wednesday evening market closed on October 7; Saturdays run to November 21.

At the fairgrounds, the Longmont Farmers Market runs 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the north lot at 9595 Nelson Rd., and the Pumpkin Pie Days Vintage & Antique Market fills the Exhibit Building alongside it, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Two county programs run Saturday morning, both needing registration. Art in the Parks is guided sketching at Pella Crossing, 11600 N. 75th St. in Longmont, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., no experience expected. The Las Barracas Tour, 10 to 11:30 a.m., is a Spanish-language walk through a historic farmworker camp near Longmont, adults only; the meeting point is given at sign-up.

In Boulder, the Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration for Boulder Valley Residents runs 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the San Juan del Centro pavilion, 3164 24th St., with dancing, storytelling and food. The First Nations Celebration follows 4 to 7 p.m. at Rocky Mountain Equality, 3340 Mitchell Lane, adding Two-Spirit speakers and a workshop on Indigenous ecological knowledge. Register online.

Sunset at the Farm holds the Agricultural Heritage Center, 8348 Ute Hwy in Longmont, open 5 to 6:45 p.m. Saturday, past its usual close. No registration needed.

Sunday morning, the Hard Rock Mining Van Tour leaves the Assay Office Museum at 6352 Fourmile Canyon Dr. west of Boulder, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for guided visits to historic mining sites. Moderate walking, ages 10 and up with an adult; registration required.

Then Celebrating Culture and Honoring Ancestors runs noon to 6 p.m. at Mi Chantli Studio, 1750 30th St. in Boulder: Aztec dance and drumming, mural and bookmaking workshops, and talks on the Mexica calendar. None of this weekend’s organizers publishes a price, so confirm at sign-up.
